The Darkness Returns Posts: 3,163 Group: Member Member #5,205 Joined: September 2, 2010	Now, it's widely accepted Pre-Rosat that Goten is slightly weaker(stated by Goku) than Trunks due to him being younger. However, as we know Goten witnessed his mother being killed by Buu, which infuriated him. Based off this we can assume Goten put in much more effort into his training than Trunks did considering the loss of his entire family pushed him harder. Any thoughts on the idea?

	list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god

	darkwarrior has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe Trunks just bought his sword somewhere or something? There's nothing really special about it. Y2J Well it did manage to slice Frieza into a shishkebab so it must've been packing more power than your average blade. Hell even Zelda's sword couldn't pull off that ****. ObsessiveFanGirl I don't believe in power levels after the Frieza Saga. Now, there's an idea.

Google Chrome	I'm 99% sure that Goten and Trunks were still in the RoSaT when Buu turned everyone (Chi-chi and Bulma included) into candy, so neither of them witnessed their mother's demise. Though technically Trunks never saw his father die, since he (and Goten, but that's irrelevant) were unconscious, whereas Goten had to actually say goodbye to his father when Baba took him away. They were both probably equally as inclined to train, it's just that Goten was younger and showed it more melodramatically. Plus Trunks was probably told by his father countless times to not cry and show little emotion, whereas Goten spent most of his childhood with Chi-chi. And even if Goten had more inclination to train, I'd still say Trunks is stronger, just due to the age difference and the fact that he underwent more training growing up. Goten was probably just a harder worker, lol.
